    Chase, Air Canada and Mastercard Announce Partnership to Launch a Credit Card in the US

    Chase Bank and Mastercard have teamed with Air Canada to debut the air carrier’s Aeroplan credit card in the United States. Air Canada, which is the biggest air carrier in Canada and a founding member of the Star Alliance, said Chase will serve as the exclusive issuer of the card and Mastercard will be the exclusive payments network. The airline recently redid its Aeroplan loyalty offering to provide additional flexibility and value, with the inclusion of flight rewards to over 35 partner airlines.

    Mexican Regulator Gives Go-Ahead for Uber’s Cornershop Acquisition

    Cofece, the Mexico antitrust regulator, has reportedly green-lighted the acquisition of grocery delivery site Cornershop by Uber Technologies. Santiago, Chile-based Cornershop is a digital grocery startup facilitating grocery delivery in places such as Peru and Chile. Uber began growing its collaboration with Cornershop in July. Restaurant food delivery has been Uber’s revenue driver for two straight quarters.

    First Abu Dhabi Bank Collaborates With Visa on B2B Virtual Cards

    United Arab Emirates (UAE) financial institution First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has teamed with Visa to launch an in-depth collection of digital payment offerings for business clients. Ramana Kumar, executive vice president and head of payments and digital banking, personal banking group, FAB, said in a press release that the FI has been at work strengthening its business and corporate payment offerings in collaboration with Visa.
